El Autismo Habla al Mundo, Mexico July 5, 6, 7 2007
The fifth annual Sprout Film Festival presents diverse and independent shorts, documentaries, animations and narratives related to the field of developmental disabilities. This landmark film festival will present 6 unique programs that include 20 films, from 9 countries and will take place on Friday April 27th and Saturday April 28th at New York University's Cantor Film Center, 36 East 8th Street, and on Sunday April 29th at the International Hostel at 103rd St. and Amsterdam Avenue. Festival highlights include "My Brother" starring Venessa Williams, "Life In the Shadows" a documentary about President Kennedy's efforts to help the disabled, "Brain Man" a documentary about autistic savant Daniel Tammet and "Kids Like These" a 1986 movie starring Tyne Daly.
AUTISM: THE MUSICAL will be shown on HBO
"A dynamic and intimate look inside the lives of several families whose children are autistic, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The film follows these children over the course of six months, as they create, prepare and then perform a live musical play on stage."
