ISAAC
Born 2000 – (Portland Oregon)
Isaac was born in Portland Oregon
in January of 2000. He was diagnosed with autism
in May 2007.

Isaac learned basic computer use by watching his
family, then on his own he discovered the Windows
tutorials (some w/ videos).
He studied them paragraph by paragraph, and would open a notepad on the desktop and then write (type) each paragraph from memory.
(With very few errors!) Isaac loves to watch movie logos over and over, he studies every detail. Recently he discovered YouTube
and searches for logo videos there. He will watch many videos at the same time, side by side. Then he will open up the Paint program and create his art in that.
Lately he has kept the YouTube videos open behind his art - playing the theme music for the logo he just created. Isaac uses the computer to fulfill his stimulation needs. He gets to watch the many different styles of the same logo and he often draws them all on paper so he can see them together. He also likes his etch-a-sketch's, and can draw through a 50 page spiral notebook in about 2 hours.
A note on the Columbia Tristar picture:
Isaac said that is him in the pictures with his etch-a-sketch and the yellow thing in his hand is 'batteries...for Isaac'.
When asked “When do we change your batteries, when you are asleep?”
Isaac replied “Yes.”
