Original hand drawing of her innovative design for the dip
vat entrance which enables the animals to walk in without
getting scared because the animals are not slipping.
"...The secret to the design is having a cleated non-slip ramp
and then the steep drop-off is hidden under the water. This
design greatly reduced cattle drownings."
As a child Temple Grandin experienced "oversensitivity" to touch and sound.
She is the innovatve creator of the
"squeeze machine" which she originally
developed to overcome her problems of
oversensitivity to touch.
